This site is operated by Decide Communications LLC (“Decide,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit this site or use the Decide app, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site or the app, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
The only personal information we ask you for is the email address you choose to submit through the signup form. If you do not submit the form, we do not collect an email address from you.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. We use this only to operate the site securely and to understand aggregate traffic.
How we use your information
We use the email address you provide to:
- Notify you when our products and services become available.
- Send you occasional updates related to what you signed up for.
- Respond to you if you contact us.
We do not sell your email address, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
How your information is stored and shared
We use trusted third-party service providers to run this site and to store the information you submit. When you submit the form, your email address is stored using Google’s services (Google Sheets and Google Apps Script), and the site itself is served through our hosting provider. These providers process data on our behalf and are subject to their own privacy and security terms. This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of serving those fonts.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Decide Communications LLC, our users, or others.
The Decide app
Decide for iPhone is an AI receptionist: when you forward a call to it, it answers on your behalf. To provide that service, the app processes:
- Account information — your sign-in identity and the phone number you verify.
- Call content — audio, transcripts, and summaries of the calls Decide answers for you. These exist so you can read and review them in the app.
- Setup details you provide — the description of your business or preferences that tells your receptionist how to answer.
- Calendar access (optional) — only if you connect it, and only to let your receptionist answer with awareness of your availability.
We use this data solely to operate the service for you. We do not sell it, and we do not use your call content for third-party advertising. Calls are processed by the speech and language service providers we use to run the receptionist, acting on our behalf under their own confidentiality and security terms. You can delete individual call records in the app, or delete your account to remove your data entirely.
Depending on where you and your callers are located, laws on call recording and notification vary; you are responsible for using the service in accordance with the laws that apply to you.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser may store a small amount of data locally to make the signup form work; this stays on your device.
Data retention
We keep the email address you submit until our products launch and for a reasonable period afterward, or until you ask us to remove it — whichever comes first.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the email address we hold for you at any time, and you can unsubscribe from our updates. To make a request, contact us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Changes are effective when posted.
